They encouraged that for every family that wants to prepare safe and healthy food at home the following principles must be kept.
🧼 Wash hands with soap and water before, during, and after food preparation
🧊 Refrigerate cooked food within 2 hours and reheat thoroughly
🥦 Wash all fruits and vegetables with clean water, even organic
🔥 Cook meats to safe internal temperatures
🔪 Use different cutting boards and knives for raw meats
For the fact that food poisoning is always the most commonly faced illness during this season, World Health Organization published another short and precise article on the 21st day of December 2023 with the topic EATING A HEALTHY DIET focusing on the fact that many families and friends enjoy delicious meals together during the holidays, they enlisted some ways you can enjoy the festivities while making nutritious food choices:
🥕 Include fruits and vegetables with every meal and snack.
🥘 Steam or boil instead of fry.
🧂 Pick foods with the least salt (sodium) on the label.
🍽 Listen to your body when it’s full and save the rest for another day.
